Why Sunside Suites

Your Own Space on the Other Side of Gulf Boulevard

Beach days don’t all follow the same schedule. You might want coffee before heading to the sand, lunch between outings, or a place to sit after an afternoon outside. Sunside gives you a bedroom, a living area, and cooking facilities to make those everyday moments easier.

These accommodations sit across Gulf Boulevard from Hotel Sol’s main building. You will cross the road to reach the beachfront side of the property, so keep that location in mind when choosing where to stay.

Pick a king layout for up to two guests, or two full beds for up to four. The main difference between the two king options is the kitchen: one has a full kitchen, while the other has a kitchenette. The two-double-bed option includes a kitchenette.

Explore the three choices below to find the right fit for your beach trip.

King Suite with Full Kitchen

A king bedroom, living area, and full kitchen give two guests a place to settle into their own routine. Prepare meals during your stay, keep your beach-day essentials together, and enjoy somewhere to relax beyond the bed.

More Space to Unwind at the Hotel

A bedroom and living area give you somewhere to relax beyond the bed. Settle in with your morning coffee, take a break between outings, or spend a quiet evening together. With king options for two and a two-double-bed option for four, you can choose the layout that fits your trip.

Make Time for the Beach

Spend the morning by the water, return for lunch, and head out again when you’re ready. These suites are across Gulf Boulevard from Hotel Sol’s beachfront building, so reaching the sand involves crossing the road. Keep that crossing in mind when planning your beach days.

Unwind by the Hotel’s Outdoor Pool

Make time for a swim in the heated outdoor pool or settle into a poolside lounger between beach outings. It’s another way to enjoy your stay, whether you prefer a relaxed morning or an afternoon break from the sand.

Make the Most of Your Gulf Stay

Explore nearby beaches, plan a day out, and check the details before you book.

  • Beyond the Beach: Clearwater and St. Pete

A stay in Redington Shores leaves space for more than days on the sand. Head north for an outing to Clearwater Beach, or make time for St. Petersburg when you want a change of scenery. You can explore the surrounding beaches without changing your lodging each time.

Keep a few afternoons open rather than filling every day. Hotel Sol offers a place to return to when you’re ready to trade sightseeing for an evening by the Gulf.

  • John’s Pass Village & Boardwalk in Madeira Beach brings waterfront dining, shops and boat excursions together in one outing. Browse for souvenirs, stop for seafood, or book a dolphin-watching cruise for time on the water.

For another coastal stop, explore Treasure Island. Mix an afternoon out with an unhurried morning back at Hotel Sol—you don’t need a full itinerary to enjoy this stretch of coast.

  • Before You Book

Start with your dates and number of guests, then check the individual accommodation details. The four options sleep either two or four, so compare sleeping arrangements as well as availability.

If you’re planning a boat trip or other scheduled activity, check departure times and leave room in the day for travel. A little planning lets you spend more of your stay enjoying the water.

  • Does Gulf-front mean a partial Gulf view?

Here, it means your room faces the water directly. These accommodations have a beach view across the sand, with no road between the building and the shore.

Do guests have access to the pool?

Yes. You can spend time at Hotel Sol’s outdoor pool as well as on the beach - neither being too far from your room.

Can I visit John’s Pass without changing hotels?

Can I visit John’s Pass without changing hotels?

Yes. John’s Pass is in nearby Madeira Beach, making it an outing you can include during your Redington Shores stay.

Can I book an upstairs balcony for two guests?

Yes. The Marlin Suite and Sailfish Room each accommodate up to four guests, but you can also book either for a two-person stay with a private balcony overlooking the Gulf.
